P.S. I Love You

Rating: PG-13

Movie Release Date: December 21, 2007

DVD Release Date: May 6, 2008

Plot 411: A husband's death brings new life to his widowed wife through letters he's left behind.

Review: This is one of my favorite movies ever. Despite it being such a downer that a love this great ends on a sad note, it is a story of hope and new life. It is a story of eternal love. I also like that it is a topic that many people can relate to and it doesn't glaze over the emotion and loss that the widow (or widower) feels when her spouse dies. It shows that the heart is a powerful thing and is capable of so much more than we are aware.

Watch It: If you're in need of a reminder of the power of love.

Skip It: If you can't stand Hilary Swank as she's the main character and there is no avoiding here.
