Head Over Heels

Rating: PG-13

Movie Release Date: February 2, 2001

DVD Release Date: July 31, 2001

Plot 411: Amanda moves into a new apartment and falls in love with a guy from the next building. But, her peeping tom routine gets a little complicated when she sees him kill someone.

Review: All in all, not the very best romantic comedy out there, and I'm a little disappointed with Freddie Prinze Jr.'s effort in this one. In the '90s, he was the stud muffin of teen rom-coms but somehow lost his charm when the new millennium gave way. This could be that marriage of his to Sarah Michelle Gellar, but I digress. In this movie, he plays Jim, a fashion exec and neighbor in the next building. Monica Potter is cast perfectly as a sort of mousy girl living among supermodels. She oogles Jim from across the way until she witnesses him committing a murder. Or does she? Her new supermodel friends are willing to overlook such a small faux pas, but is she?

Watch It: For a mediocre rom-com and a couple of laughs.

Skip It: If there's a better rom-com on the shelf.
